Project Overview
Trenchless Solutions Limited in 2020 attended site following a reactive call to investigate internal
flooding of local properties from a foul sewer. The defective pipeline was located at a depth of
2.7M, under an existing property, TSL offered a solution to install a new off line pipeline by guided
auger bore from an excavation in the street to the rear courtyard drilling under the effected
property. YW rejected the proposal and the site added to the YW mitigation list. After investigation
works by third party no open cut solution was available.
Description of Works
After detailed investigation into various trenchless options TSL was instructed in July 2023 by Peter
Duffy Limited a 3rd party YW framework contractor to mobilise and carry out an installation of
Naylor Denlok DN400 NS VC drainage pipe using a guided auger bore solution. A 2.7m long x 2.5m
wide sheet and frame drive shaft was constructed in Oxford Road with a reception shaft 2.0m long
x 2.0m wide constructed in the rear yard of the property. A GAB 3 pass installation of 16 metres of
Naylor Denlok DN400 x 1m NS VC jacking pipes was completed with a connection made into the
existing foul sewer.
