Derby, Pipe Bursting

The Pipe burst took place at Coniston Crescent Derby; 47 meters of DN225 clay pipe was replaced due to the pipe collapsing, the product pipe that was installed was 250 SDR17 PE pipe.

The 250 SDR17 PE pipe is connected to the towing head, the steel rods are then retracted through the existing DN225 clay pipe, towards the jacking unit allowing the cutter to break the clay pipe and the hole opener to displace the ground, enlarging the hole allowing the new product pipe to be installed.
