Trenchless Solutions Ltd were ask to offer a Trenchless technique to refurbish an existing drainage pipe, the client asked for a new 500mm dia MDPE pipe, TSL offered a Pipebursting method.First of all the new pipe is welded using the Tri Star butt fusion equipment, then moved into position ready for the bursting head to be attached. Steel rods are fed in from the reception pit where the 225ton bursting machine is positioned, the rods are connected to the bursting head then the new pipe is pulled through the host pipe until it reaches the reception pit.
