Work started this week for Trenchless Solutions Ltd in Ellesmere Port using auger boring trenchless techniques. An existing drain that runs underneath a small lake and woodland inside the hotel grounds had collapsed, because the old pipe had being repaired previously on a number of occasions causing disruption to the hotel it was decided by United Utilities they would incorporate a Trenchless Technique for the installation of the new drainage pipe. Using TSL’s Guided Auger Boring system the 75m pilot bore was installed , accuracy was imperative as an existing water main was present in the reception shaft, the pilot bore was successfully completed within tolerances for the line and grade.
